Start Your Career as an Anesthesia Technologist

The Anesthesia Technology Associate in Science (AS) degree program at PCC prepares you to begin a 护理er as an integral member of the anesthesia patient 护理 team. 在 successful completion of the program's required coursework, you will be eligible to take the ASATT Certification Examination to become a Certified Anesthesia Technologist.

Program Description

The Anesthesia Technology program prepares you to become a Certified Anesthesia Technologist. Emphasis is on fundamental and advanced clinical procedures to assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation, and application of various types of equipment required for the delivery of anesthesia 护理. You will learn to:

  • Assist licensed anesthesia providers with the 护理 of the patient in a variety of 设置.

  • Provide support for surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia 护理.

  • Perform maintenance on anesthesia equipment and anesthesia monitors.

  • Clean, sterilize, disinfect, stock, order and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies.
